Candy Factory Origin Census
Power Analysis: Sample insufficient to distinguish plant recipes (Target N ≥ 335).
Candy Factory Origin Information and References
Mars Wrigley produces M&M's at two primary U.S. manufacturing facilities—Cleveland, OH and Hackettstown, NJ. Each plant blends candies according to distinct target color distributions, shown below.
While any single bag exhibits high variance due to small sample size (e.g., N ∼ 15 for fun-sized bags), this census tool aggregates data across the a larger population of multiple bags. By leveraging the Law of Large Numbers and dual Chi-Square (χ² ) goodness-of-fit testing, we look to statistically deduce which factory produced our candy batch!
